My thoughts on Tiny Furniture:
I liked the movie. I may be a bit bias because I have this new-found love for Lena Dunham, but I feel like she plays a relatable character. The story is inspired by her own life - that’s actually her mom in reality (whom is also a photographer), and she did go to a university in Ohio. There are some great references, too. Some of my favorites: “You sound like you’re in the epilogue to Felicity” and her line about watching reruns of Seinfeld. I can see why people may not like the movie. It can be slow at times, but I think Lena Dunham is just playing herself (like she does in Girls), and facing the hardship of what a lot of people go through post-college. It definitely makes me nervous for the future though because I can totally see myself in her shoes…
